Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiographer (Radiologic Technologist) to operate imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes.
The Radiographer will:
- Follow physicians’ instructions for imaging procedures
- Position patients and imaging equipment correctly
- Capture high-quality diagnostic images of tissues, bones, organs, and blood vessels
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Communicate clearly with patients about procedures
The role may also include assisting in radiation therapy procedures or radiopharmaceutical administration where required.
Key Responsibilities
The Radiographer will:
- Prepare examination rooms for imaging procedures
- Position patients and equipment for accurate imaging results
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals when required
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort throughout scans
- Input imaging data and scan instructions into computer systems
- Adjust image quality settings (density, contrast) as needed
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and minimize exposure
- Produce diagnostic images and report findings to physicians
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Organize daily imaging schedules, including emergency cases
- Monitor and manage radiographic supplies
- Perform administrative duties such as:
- Scheduling appointments
- Answering technical inquiries
- Providing pre-procedure guidance
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on imaging equipment
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Radiology
- Valid license to practice radiography
