Job Summary

NCBA Bank is seeking a Relationship Manager to manage a portfolio of corporate customers, act as their primary financial adviser, and acquire new corporate clients. The role focuses on portfolio growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, retention, and increasing the Bank’s share of wallet within the assigned industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate customers.
  • Develop and execute portfolio growth strategies and account plans.
  • Acquire new corporate customers and identify business opportunities.
  • Recommend, structure, and sell appropriate banking solutions.
  • Achieve balance-sheet growth, profitability, revenue, and market-share targets.
  • Manage portfolio-at-risk (PAR) and maintain NPLs below 5%.
  • Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and relationship growth.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records.
  • Ensure compliance with banking policies, procedures, regulations, and SLAs.
  • Resolve audit findings within agreed timelines.
  • Collaborate with Client Service Managers and other internal teams.
  • Coach and support Client Service Managers in achieving performance targets.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, financial institutions, regulators, government stakeholders, and industry players.
  • Participate in continuous learning, coaching, and professional development.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognised and accredited university.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial banking.
  • At least 3 years of the required experience should have been gained in an assistant management capacity within an organisation of similar size.

Desired Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven track record of portfolio financial growth.
  • Experience with banking products, operations, and customer experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the local banking industry and banking regulations.
  • Sound understanding of commercial banking practices and services.
