AutoXpress Tanzania Limited is a leading importer, distributor, and retailer of tyres, auto parts, and accessories across various countries in Africa. The company also offers repair and maintenance services through a network of more than 80 outlets across:
- Kenya
- Tanzania
- Rwanda
- Uganda
- Zambia
AutoXpress has over 65 years of operational history and market presence.

Retail Customer Service Assistant
Job Location
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
2. THE ROLE
AutoXpress currently operates 7 retail outlets across:
- Dar es Salaam
- Arusha
- Mwanza
The company plans to expand further within the next 3–5 years.
This is a training position leading to the role of Retail Customer Service Executive.
The successful candidate will:
- Welcome customers physically or by phone
- Respond to inquiries
- Guide customers on products and services
- Help customers make purchasing decisions
- Ensure excellent customer service while supporting company profitability
3. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Customer Service & Sales
- Learn and understand the company profile
- Learn technical details of products and services
- Welcome customers to the branch
- Understand customer needs and requirements
- Recommend suitable products and services
- Explain product features and benefits
- Demonstrate product use where necessary
- Cross-sell related products and services
- Offer appropriate value propositions
Coordination & Operations
- Liaise with stores and workshop departments
- Ensure efficient and timely service delivery
- Ensure accurate documentation and payment collection
- Follow up with customers after purchase
- Handle customer complaints and feedback
- Communicate new products, services, and promotions to customers
- Inform management about unavailable customer requirements
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information
Workshop & Inspection Support
- Ensure all vehicles have inspection checklists before invoicing
- Review inspection checklists with customers and ensure understanding
Other Duties
- Perform any additional assigned responsibilities

5. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
Education
- University degree in:
- Sales & Marketing
- Commerce
- Business Administration
- Related field
Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in:
- Customer service, OR
- Marketing
Advantageous Experience
- Automotive retail environment
- Tyre industry knowledge
- Spare parts industry knowledge
- Interest in automobile mechanics
