SALES ASSOCIATE (6 POSITIONS) – JOB VACANCY
Purpose of the Role
Tabono, on behalf of its client, is seeking proactive and dynamic Sales Associates to:
- Welcome and guide customers
- Understand customer needs and provide product advice
- Deliver excellent customer service to drive sales
- Handle sales transactions and support store operations
The role also involves contributing to store management and participating in stock-taking activities.
Reporting Line
- Reports to: Assistant Manager
Location
- International Departure Lounge, Kilimanjaro International Airport
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Invite customers into the shop and assist them based on their needs
- Provide in-depth product knowledge and recommendations
- Drive sales and encourage additional purchases
Cash Handling
- Process transactions according to procedures
- Count cash and complete register documentation
- Deposit receipts securely
Store Operations
- Arrange products on shelves according to merchandising standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store
- Verify product labeling
Commercial Activities
- Support implementation of promotions and campaigns
- Assist with product displays and promotional changes
Stock Management
- Participate in stock-taking exercises
- Check deliveries and ensure proper placement of products
- Report discrepancies to the Assistant Manager
Compliance & Reporting
- Report suspicious behavior involving customers, staff, or others
- Follow all internal procedures and guidelines

Skills & Attributes
- Ability to take initiative
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude and customer-focused mindset
- Good understanding of sales and customer service
Experience & Qualifications
- At least 1 year of retail experience
- Previous cash handling experience
- Fluency in Swahili and English
