Job Title: Sales Executive Department: Sales & Business Development Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Role Purpose: The successful candidate will be an energetic, commercially minded, and target-driven individual responsible for supporting new customer acquisition and business growth. This is a highly field-based sales role, requiring significant time spent identifying new prospects, making face-to-face sales calls, building customer relationships, presenting workplace coffee and beverage vending solutions, generating orders, and converting opportunities into recurring business.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Education:
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and technical documentation systems.
Experience:
  • Minimum 1–3 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG, beverages, consumer products, services, or a similarly field-driven environment.
  • Experience in direct/field sales, territory sales, or business development will be an advantage.
Competences:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good negotiation and selling skills.

  • Ability to use email and basic sales/reporting tools.

General Responsibilities:
New Business Development:
  • Conduct daily field prospecting to identify new business opportunities.
  • Visit offices, factories, hotels, institutions, commercial buildings, and other workplaces.
  • Identify businesses that could benefit from workplace coffee and beverage vending solutions.
  • Introduce KisCafe and understand prospective customers’ current beverage arrangements and challenges.
  • Generate qualified leads and develop them into sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
Consultative Selling:
  • Understand customer requirements including number of employees/users, consumption patterns, preferred beverages, and budget.
  • Recommend suitable KisCafe vending solutions based on customer needs.
  • Explain the benefits of vending compared with traditional workplace beverage preparation.
  • Present machine rental, purchase, and service options.
  • Coordinate product demonstrations where appropriate.
  • Prepare and present quotations/proposals in coordination with the relevant internal team.
Sales Conversion:
  • Follow up consistently with prospects and decision-makers.
  • Negotiate within approved commercial parameters.
  • Close new accounts and achieve monthly sales targets.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure smooth installation and onboarding of new customers.
  • Maintain relationships with newly acquired customers to support retention and future upselling.
Territory & Market Development:
  • Develop an assigned territory and systematically identify potential businesses.
  • Build relationships with office managers, HR teams, procurement managers, administrators, business owners, and other relevant decision-makers.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce KisCafe to existing Kisima customers.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and account expansion.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
Sales Administration & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of customer visits, prospects, quotations, and opportunities.
  • Submit daily/weekly sales activity reports.
  • Maintain an updated sales pipeline.
  • Track proposals and outstanding follow-ups.
  • Provide regular feedback on customer requirements, objections, competitor activity, and market opportunities.
