About the Company
Prime Technical and Medical Equipment Ltd, a subsidiary of Prime Scientific, is seeking a talented and ambitious professional to join its East Africa team as a Sales Representative (Sales Officer).
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing client relationships, supporting tender processes, and promoting the company’s portfolio of scientific and medical equipment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
- Identify and prospect new customers and business opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Arrange and attend meetings, presentations, and events with clients.
- Promote and sell the company’s products and services in line with organizational objectives.
- Prepare sales forecasts and track potential business opportunities.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, budgets, and performance objectives.
Quotations and Contract Management
- Prepare and submit quotations and proposals through the company CRM system.
- Conduct follow-up activities on submitted quotations and proposals.
- Negotiate and close sales agreements while safeguarding company interests.
- Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the sales cycle.
Customer Relationship Management
- Provide pre-sales, sales, and after-sales support.
- Respond to client inquiries and coordinate support services.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain regular communication with key customer accounts.
Sales Operations Coordination
- Follow up orders from confirmation through delivery, invoicing, and payment.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Monitor customer issues and collaborate with technical support teams until resolution.
Tender and Regulatory Compliance
- Track tenders and Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
- Participate in tender preparation, submission, negotiation, and execution.
- Ensure company registrations and tender eligibility remain current.
- Monitor regulatory changes that may affect company compliance and tender participation.
Required Qualifications
Education
Applicants must possess at least:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a Scientific Field, preferably:
- Chemistry
- Chemical Engineering
- Related scientific disciplines
Required Skills
Language Skills
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- Additional languages will be an added advantage.
Computer Skills
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Microsoft Outlook
- Experience using:
- CRM systems
- ERP software (preferred)

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Personal Profile Requirements
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Age between 25 and 40 years.
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience in a similar role within Dar es Salaam.
- Valid Tanzanian driver’s license.
- Current residence in Dar es Salaam.
- Willingness and ability to travel to other regions when required.

The ideal candidate will have:
- A scientific or technical educational background.
- Experience in business development and technical sales.
- Strong customer relationship management skills.
- Interest in scientific, laboratory, technical, or medical equipment markets.
- Ability to manage sales opportunities from prospecting through contract execution.
