Role Purpose
Vodafone Tanzania is seeking a Senior Analyst – Margin Accounting to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of financial records and reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
The successful candidate will be part of the Margin Accounting / Intercompany Operations (ICO) team, working closely with:
- Finance Operations.
- Business partners.
- Shared Services teams.
- Commercial teams.
The role focuses on financial control, intercompany accounting, revenue and cost accuracy, reconciliations, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Intercompany & Roaming Accounting
- Manage intercompany and roaming accounts.
- Ensure complete, accurate, and timely accounting of transactions.
- Monitor transaction flows and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Improve intercompany and roaming accounting processes.
Financial Reporting & Reconciliations
- Prepare month-end journals.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure end-to-end accuracy of financial transactions.
- Apply appropriate processes and tools to capture all revenue and costs.
Shared Services Management
- Manage execution of migrated activities by Shared Services teams.
- Ensure delivery within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Support resolution of operational process and control issues.
Margin Assurance & Business Insights
- Work with Billing and Revenue Assurance teams.
- Develop Margin Assurance dashboards.
- Provide insights to support business decision-making.
- Identify financial risks and improvement opportunities.
Process Improvement & Digital Transformation
- Support business excellence and digital transformation initiatives.
- Manage automation projects within the finance function.
- Support transformation roadmaps and improvement plans.
- Maximize the use of S4HANA capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
Governance & Escalation Management
- Follow established escalation procedures.
- Promote a non-surprise management approach.
- Ensure timely communication of financial issues and risks.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- Degree or Advanced Diploma in:
- Accountancy.
- Finance.
- Equivalent qualification.
Added Advantage
- CPA qualification.

- Strong knowledge of:
- General Ledger (GL) modules.
- Receivables modules.
- Intercompany accounting.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
