SOLOMON Stockbrokers Limited is a founding member of the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) and is licensed as a Stockbroker/Dealer, Investment Adviser, and Fund Manager. The firm is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to support its Research and Advisory function in Dar es Salaam.


Position Details

  • Posting Title: Senior Investment Analyst

  • Duty Station: Dar es Salaam

  • Reporting Line: Chief Financial Officer

  • Posting Period: 27 April 2026 – 11 May 2026

Summary of the Role

The Senior Investment Analyst will support the Research and Advisory function with the objective of contributing to a high-performing, revenue-generating unit. The role focuses on delivering actionable investment insights, supporting advisory mandates, building strategic relationships, and contributing to the development of innovative financial products.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Equity & Market Research: Support development of research reports, valuation models, and market insights. Maintain and update financial models for listed securities.

  • Corporate & Transaction Advisory: Support execution of advisory mandates (valuations, restructuring, capital raising) and assist in transaction structuring and execution.

  • Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with investors, listed companies, and banks. Identify business opportunities within the market, including regional opportunities.

  • Product Development: Support development of investment and research products and collaborate internally to enhance commercialization of research outputs.

  • Thought Leadership & Market Presence: Contribute to investment articles, reports, and market commentary. Participate in industry engagements and knowledge-sharing platforms.

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Work Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized institution.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of capital markets, valuation, and investment analysis.

  • Experience: Proven experience in research, advisory, or investment-related roles.

  • Skills: Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
