Job Purpose
The Treasury Sales Manager – Corporate Clients will drive the Treasury business strategy for the corporate segment by originating, delivering, and managing treasury products aligned with the Bank’s strategic goals.
The role focuses on revenue growth, product innovation, competitive positioning, and building strong client relationships, while leading a high-performing team and ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Business Development
- Develop and implement treasury sales strategies aligned with departmental and bank-wide objectives
- Contribute to overall Treasury business strategy and growth plans
- Identify market opportunities and competitive threats to inform product development
- Develop innovative treasury solutions tailored to client needs
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate, commercial, and government clients
- Engage with key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Manage treasury sales pipelines and ensure strong client engagement
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and treasury documentation
Sales & Product Management
- Design and manage end-to-end treasury product sales processes
- Drive product distribution across channels
- Ensure effective pricing strategies to maximize revenue
- Lead marketing and training initiatives to enhance performance
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled treasury professionals
- Provide hands-on coaching to achieve high performance
- Foster collaboration with corporate relationship managers and other departments
Risk & Compliance
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks (operational, market, and credit risk)
- Maintain strong relationships with regulators and contribute to industry development
- Ensure all treasury activities comply with regulatory and internal standards
Financial Management
- Support budgeting processes and ensure alignment with business plans
- Monitor revenue and expense performance against targets
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or related field
- Master’s Degree is an added advantage
- ACI Dealing Certificate (required)
- Minimum 10 years’ banking experience, including:
- At least 5 years managing corporate clients in Treasury
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Expertise in treasury products and risk management (market, liquidity, credit)
- Proven ability to manage large client portfolios
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to deliver tailored treasury solutions
