Position Details
- Position Title: Senior Mechanic
- Number of Positions: 2
- Reporting To: Workshop Manager
- Work Location: Kilombero Sugar Estate, Tanzania

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment
- Supervise and guide junior technicians
- Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs
- Collaborate with land preparation supervisors and liaise with clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance and repair records
- Oversee technicians to ensure optimal fleet availability
- Manage workshop staffing and ensure smooth workflow operations
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external clients
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental standards
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or related field
- At least 5 years’ experience in a mechanical supervisory role
- Experience with heavy-duty automotive machinery (agricultural sector preferred)
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques
- Computer literacy, including diagnostic software tools
- Good communication skills (English preferred)
- Strong adherence to safety standards
