Position Summary

The Senior Network Administrator will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all network systems remain secure, optimized, and fully operational to support business operations, particularly in the area of border control systems.

The role also involves network performance monitoring, troubleshooting complex technical issues, infrastructure enhancement, and ensuring compliance with established security standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing, configuring, and monitoring network hardware and software.
• Implementing and maintaining secure and efficient network architectures.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues in a timely manner.
• Monitoring and analyzing network performance and recommending improvements.
• Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
• Researching emerging technologies and recommending infrastructure enhancements.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to the Network Administration Team and Network Operations Center (NOC).
• Ensuring network security and compliance with organizational standards.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Information Technology
  • Computer Science
  • Or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.

Required Technical Skills

Candidates should demonstrate expertise in:

• Network Administration.
• Local Area Networks (LAN).
• Wide Area Networks (WAN).
• Firewall configuration and management.
• Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
• Network monitoring tools and management software.
• Network infrastructure design and maintenance.
• Virtualization technologies.
• Cloud platforms and services.
• Network security and performance optimization.

Required Certifications

Applicants must hold at least one of the following certifications:

• Dell EMC Certified Professional Networking.
• Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE).
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher.
• Relevant firewall management certifications such as:
  • Palo Alto Networks Certification
  • Juniper Networks Certification
• CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification.
