Qualifications & Experience – Service Learning Coordinator

Applicants should have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Education.
  • Development Studies.
  • Related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in:
  • Administrative roles.
  • Program coordination roles.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Proficiency in Kiswahili.
• Good understanding of Tanzanian culture and NGO environments.

2. Swimming Coordinator

Job Summary

The Swimming Coordinator is responsible for managing the operational, academic, and physical aspects of the HOPAC aquatics program and facilities.

The role includes curriculum delivery, swimming program management, safety supervision, competitive coaching, and management of major pool facility improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily swimming and aquatic operations.
• Ensure implementation of safety procedures.
• Oversee swimming instructors, lifeguards, and coaches.
• Manage K-12 Physical Education swimming programs.
• Maintain pool facilities and equipment.
• Lead facility improvement projects.
• Manage aquatic capital plans and infrastructure projects.
• Oversee major facility upgrades including:
  • Pool repairs.
  • Filtration system improvements.
  • Facility enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience – Swimming Coordinator

Applicants should have:

• Commitment to evangelical Christian values and student development.
• Certified pool maintenance qualifications with knowledge of:
  • Filtration systems.
  • Plant room operations.
• Certified:
  • Lifeguard.
  • Lifesaver.
  • Swimming Trainer/Instructor (e.g., STA, YMCA, or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Physical Education.
  • Sports Management.
  • Related field (preferred).
• Experience managing:
  • Facility budgets.
  • Equipment maintenance cycles.
  • Capital projects exceeding $40,000.
• Experience managing:
  • Lifeguards.
  • Swimming coaches.
  • Community facility schedules.
• Competitive swimming coaching or athlete background.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English.
