Job Purpose

The Specialist – Cloud Infrastructure will provide hands-on technical administration, support, and optimization of the organization’s IT and cloud infrastructure environments.

The role will contribute to IT infrastructure modernization, improve platform reliability, strengthen security, and support business continuity through best-practice architecture and operational governance.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Administering and supporting:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Microsoft 365
  • Hybrid cloud environments
  • Exchange Online and on-premises Exchange services
• Managing enterprise Microsoft infrastructure, including:
  • Windows Server
  • Active Directory (AD)
  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • Group Policy
  • SCCM
  • Identity services
• Automating operational tasks using:
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Azure CLI
  • Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Managing:
  • Virtualization platforms
  • Server infrastructure
  • Storage systems
  • Backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Monitoring cloud and hybrid infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and security.
• Implementing infrastructure security controls, including:
  • Patch management
  • Vulnerability remediation
  • Access management best practices
• Supporting:
  • Cloud migrations
  • Infrastructure upgrades
  • Automation initiatives
  • Technology refresh projects
• Conducting system assessments, patches, firmware updates, upgrades, and security fixes.
• Ensuring cloud and on-premise incidents are resolved within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
• Managing IT infrastructure licenses, subscriptions, and renewals.
• Supporting backup and recovery activities to ensure business continuity.
• Providing Level 2 and Level 3 incident and problem management support for infrastructure-related issues.

Cloud and Microsoft Technologies

• Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Microsoft Exchange Online.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Microsoft Active Directory.
• Microsoft Exchange.
• SCCM.
• Microsoft 365 administration.
• PowerShell scripting.

Additional Technical Skills

• RedHat technologies, including:
  • RedHat Satellite
  • OpenShift
  • RedHat certifications (added advantage)
• DevOps and automation tools, including:
  • GitHub
  • Terraform
  • RedHat Ansible
• Virtualization technologies:
  • VMware
  • Oracle Linux KVM Virtualization
  • Microsoft Hyper-V
• Enterprise server management, provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.
• SAN storage technologies, including NetApp storage systems.
• Networking concepts and enterprise cloud infrastructure operations.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience administering enterprise Microsoft infrastructure.
• Experience with:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Active Directory
  • Microsoft 365 administration
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Virtualization platforms
  • Enterprise storage solutions
  • Hybrid cloud environments

Additional requirements:

• Relevant Microsoft certifications (Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server) will be required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to adapt to changing work environments.
