Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Factory Manager to lead the full setup, installation, and commissioning of a steel manufacturing plant within a strict 3-month timeline. The successful candidate will have full operational authority and be responsible for delivering a fully functional factory from the construction phase through to full production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end factory setup and commissioning within 3 months.

• Supervise civil construction works including foundations, buildings, and layout.

• Coordinate the installation of steel production machinery.

• Secure all necessary regulatory permits, licenses, and approvals.

• Recruit, train, manage, and handle staff disciplinary or termination procedures as required.

• Establish efficient production systems and operational procedures.

• Ensure strict compliance with local safety, environmental, and labor regulations.

• Manage contractors, suppliers, and overall project timelines.

Job Requirements

• Industry Experience: Proven track record managing steel factories (such as rolling mills, rebar production, or similar setups).

• Regional Experience: Experience working in Africa, with a strong preference for Tanzania or similar emerging markets.

• Project Delivery: Strong experience in fast-track factory setup, commissioning, and delivering projects under tight deadlines.

• Leadership: Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
