POSITION OVERVIEW
As Jaza scales across multiple countries, the organization is seeking a forward-thinking Talent Lead to design and build systems that attract, retain, and develop talent.
This is not a traditional recruitment role. It is a strategic workforce leadership position focused on building a scalable, data-driven talent engine aligned with business growth and company culture.
You will define talent architecture, workforce planning, and succession systems to ensure the right people are in the right roles at the right time, while embedding Jaza’s culture across all markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Talent Management & Workforce Planning
- Collaborate with C-Suite and country leadership to develop workforce plans and recruitment targets
- Lead succession planning and future workforce design
- Identify competency gaps and partner with Jaza Academy to build scalable development pathways
- Conduct organization-wide talent reviews to identify high-potential employees and manage talent pipelines
2. Talent Acquisition, Onboarding & Systems Optimization
- Oversee recruitment to ensure high-quality and culture-aligned hiring
- Design standardized hiring frameworks for multi-country scaling
- Improve time-to-hire and quality of hire through innovative recruitment strategies
- Lead onboarding, preboarding, and probation systems
- Implement and optimize ATS, HRIS, and analytics tools
- Ensure alignment between global standards and local hiring needs
3. Culture & Employer Branding
- Act as guardian of Jaza’s culture across all markets
- Strengthen employer branding to attract top-tier talent
- Ensure cultural alignment through recruitment and onboarding practices
4. Leadership & Capability Building
- Act as technical lead for Talent Specialists across the organization
- Train and upskill recruitment teams on best practices and tools
- Coach managers and leadership on hiring and onboarding excellence
- Drive consistent performance standards across all markets
MUST-HAVE SKILLS

QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years’ experience in talent management, organizational development, or strategic HR roles in growth-stage or distributed companies
- Strong experience across African markets and understanding of local hiring dynamics
- Expertise in ATS, HRIS, and HR analytics tools
- Strong balance of structure, agility, and people-centered leadership
- Strategic mindset with strong execution ability
- Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and training teams
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, or related field (required)
- Advanced degree or HR certification (preferred)
