Branch Manager Job Vacancy – Amana Bank (Mwanza)
Amana Bank is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Branch Manager to lead operations and business growth at their Mwanza branch.
Duties & Responsibilities

Business Growth: Grow customer base, deposits, financing book, and profitability in line with set targets.

Liquidity & Cost Management: Maintain the branch’s liquidity position through advance planning at minimal cost, while monitoring and controlling overall branch expenses.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict branch compliance with existing banking regulations, including adherence to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) norms at all times.

Policy Adherence & Audits: Maintain strict adherence to internal bank policies and procedures to ensure a low risk profile and high audit ratings for the branch.

Leadership & Team Coaching: Coach, mentor, and motivate staff to achieve branch goals, maximize opportunities, and deliver exceptional service to customers.

Committee Leadership: Serve as Chairperson to the Branch Management Financing Committee.
Key Competency Requirements

Comprehensive knowledge of branch banking operations as well as Sharia-compliant products and services.

Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, manage time efficiently, and maximize resource utilization.

Proven capability to mentor, lead, and motivate a high-performing team.

Strong analytical skills to evaluate problems and strategize effective solutions.

Excellent relationship management and customer service orientation.

Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of working experience in banking with an extensive background in Branch Management.
