About the Role
LGT Logistics Limited is seeking a proactive, results-driven, and highly organized Client Account Manager to join its team.
The Client Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for major clients, playing a key role in nurturing strategic relationships, overseeing end-to-end service delivery, ensuring high client satisfaction, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal operational teams.
2. Service Quality & SLA Monitoring
- Oversee client logistics requirements.
- Track shipments and ensure strict compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
3. Account Retention & Growth
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell logistical services.
- Proactively address client needs to maximize account retention.
4. Issue Resolution
- Act as the first escalation point for clients.
- Promptly investigate and resolve client queries, operational delays, and service concerns.
5. Performance Reporting
- Track and analyze account KPIs and shipping metrics.
- Prepare and present periodic reports to client stakeholders and internal management.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Business Administration
- Supply Chain Management
- Logistics
- Marketing
- Or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 2–5 years of account management or client relations experience.
- Experience in the logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation industry is preferred.
Certifications
- CIPS, CSCP, or Project Management certifications are an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Industry Knowledge
- Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Knowledge of customs clearance, freight forwarding, and logistics operations.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in CRM platforms.
- Knowledge of ERP systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
Soft Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong conflict-resolution skills.
Work Ethic
- Strong time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize key accounts effectively.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and perform well under pressure.
