Tanganyika Instant Coffee Co. Ltd (TANICA), based in Bukoba Municipality, Kagera Region, has been producing instant coffee in Tanzania since 1963. The company invites qualified Tanzanian candidates with relevant qualifications and experience to apply for the position below.

Position: Engineering Technician (Mechanical)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery, equipment, buildings, and utility systems.
• Improve production efficiency through proper adjustment and monitoring of machinery and equipment.
• Maintain equipment maintenance records and service logs.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities.
• Diagnose equipment faults, report malfunctions, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support engineering projects and maintenance programs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
• Ensure compliance with:
  • Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
  • ISO 22000:2018 standards.
  • Occupational health and safety requirements.
• Perform any other lawful duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have:

• An Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
• At least three (3) years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
