Job Purpose

The role is responsible for supporting business performance management through financial analysis, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will provide insights that enable business units and senior management to make informed strategic and operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Performance

• Drive the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of financial results, budgets, and forecasts for Business Units and the Branch Network.
• Monitor key financial metrics, identify performance trends, and advise business units on corrective actions.
• Generate periodic variance analyses and present findings to senior management.
• Support the alignment of departmental goals, processes, and resource allocation with organizational strategy.
• Support the evaluation of business cases, investment projects, and strategic initiatives.

2. Analysis & Stakeholder Support

• Present findings, projections, and recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and performance reporting tools to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and business drivers.
• Utilize data analytics to provide forward-looking insights and predictive modeling for strategic decision-making.
• Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and discussion papers for senior management.
• Produce periodic and ad-hoc reports on the progress of key strategic initiatives.
• Partner with business leaders to support:
  • New initiatives
  • Product development
  • Market expansion opportunities
• Provide financial input into:
  • Pricing strategies
  • Product profitability analysis
  • Customer segmentation initiatives

3. Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for assigned business units.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and realistic financial plans.
• Conduct scenario planning and stress testing to support strategic decisions.
• Continuously improve planning methodologies, assumptions, and forecasting accuracy.

Knowledge and Skills

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Strong understanding of:
  • Financial statements
  • Business performance metrics
  • Financial reporting
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and translate findings into actionable insights.

Financial Modeling & Forecasting

• Expertise in:
  • Financial modeling
  • Forecasting
  • Scenario analysis
• Ability to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Data Analytics & Dashboard Development

• Advanced capability in creating dashboards and visual reports to track:
  • KPIs
  • Business performance
  • Financial outcomes
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Finance
  • Economics
  • Statistics
  • Actuarial Science
  • Information Technology
  • Computer Science
  • Engineering
  • Mathematics
  • Or any related field

Added Advantage

• Master’s Degree in Business Studies or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Product Management
  • Business Planning
  • Strategic Planning
  • Analytics & Management Information (MI)
  • Finance

Technical Requirements

Strong experience with data visualization and reporting tools, including:

• SAP BI
• Power BI
• Tableau
• Microsoft Excel
