Masika Ventures is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join its team.
Job Purpose
The Finance Officer will support financial operations by managing financial records, monitoring transactions, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing financial insights to support business decision-making.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support maintenance of the company’s general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations.
- Track and manage:
- Expenses
- Budgets
- Taxes
- Cash flow
- Receipts
- Other financial transactions
- Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Identify and report financial variances.
- Analyze current and historical financial data and provide recommendations for improving profitability.
- Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Economics
- Or a related field.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent financial reporting skills.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, adapt, and work in a dynamic environment.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and trustworthiness.
- Strong motivation, energy, and willingness to learn and grow.
Added Advantages
- Professional certification in Accounting or Finance is an added advantage.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in finance or accounting is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills.
