About the Role
Bluecoast Tanzania is seeking an experienced and professional Human Resource Officer to support all HR functions within the organization.
The role focuses on ensuring effective management of:
- Recruitment and onboarding
- Employee relations
- Performance management
- Compliance with Tanzanian labour laws
- HR policy implementation
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes.
- Conduct interviews and candidate selection.
- Manage onboarding and orientation of new employees.
2. Compensation & Benefits Administration
- Administer employee rewards and benefits.
- Ensure compensation structures comply with company policies.
- Support payroll-related HR processes where applicable.
3. Employee Records & Contract Management
- Manage employment contracts, renewals, and terminations.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws in all HR documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files.
4. Employee Relations
- Handle employee relations matters professionally.
- Resolve workplace issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Promote a positive working environment across the organization.
5. Performance & Disciplinary Management
- Oversee performance appraisal processes.
- Manage disciplinary procedures in line with HR policies.
- Support performance improvement initiatives.
6. Compliance & Safety Management
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Monitor safety procedures across company premises and vehicles.
- Coordinate renewal of company certifications and driver licenses.
7. General HR Support
- Provide support to the HR Manager in daily operations.
- Undertake additional HR duties as assigned.
Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in:
- Human Resources
- Industrial Relations
- Or a related field
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ HR experience.
- Experience in:
- Logistics
- Fleet management
- Manufacturing (added advantage)
Skills & Competencies
HR Knowledge
- Strong understanding of Tanzanian labour laws.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and procedures.
Communication Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in:
- English
- Swahili
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office:
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
Personal Attributes
- Detail-oriented.
- Reliable and professional.
- Ability to work under moderate pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
