About the Company
Sihotech Engineering Company Limited is an engineering organization operating in construction and related technical sectors across Tanzania and Eastern Africa.
The company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant – Reporting to support financial reporting, compliance, and management accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. General Ledger Management
- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
2. Financial Reporting
- Prepare periodic management accounts.
- Prepare financial statements in line with reporting standards.
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reports for decision-making.
3. Audit Coordination
- Coordinate external and internal audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and support audit queries.
- Ensure smooth audit processes and timely resolution of issues.
4. Fixed Assets Management
- Maintain fixed asset registers.
- Prepare depreciation schedules.
- Ensure proper accounting of asset acquisitions and disposals.
5. Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/TFRS accounting standards.
- Apply proper financial reporting policies and procedures.
6. Account Reconciliations
- Perform reconciliations for:
- Bank accounts
- Suppliers
- Customers
- Intercompany accounts
- Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
7. Management Reporting
- Prepare and present management reports.
- Support financial analysis and decision-making processes.
Key Skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong attention to detail
- Advanced computer skills (Excel and accounting systems)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong presentation and reporting abilities
- Team coordination skills
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Accountancy
- Finance
- Or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience
Added Advantage
- CPA (Tanzania) qualification
- Experience in:
- Construction industry
- Engineering sector
