Role Overview

Exodus is inviting applications from motivated and results-driven individuals for the position of IT Support Engineer. The successful candidate will provide technical support and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure to ensure the efficient operation of computer systems, networks, hardware, and software. The role also involves troubleshooting technical issues, supporting end users, implementing security measures, and ensuring the reliability and availability of IT services.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & End-User Assistance

• Provide end-user support for approved hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Perform remote and on-site software installations.
• Support mobile devices.
• Install, update, and maintain security software and group memberships.
• Ensure professional communication and engagement with end users.
• Strive for first-call resolution while maintaining ownership of unresolved issues until completion.

Installation & Infrastructure Management

• Perform Installation, Move, Add, Change, and Disposal (IMACD) activities.
• Provide first-line data room maintenance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on:
  • Computers
  • Printers
  • Servers
  • Routers
  • Switches
  • Patch panels
  • Tape autoloaders
  • UPS systems
  • IPBX systems
• Carry out daily backup checks.

Service Delivery & Reporting

• Attend ad hoc support tasks as required.
• Support major service-impacting failures and incidents.
• Prepare monthly service reports and supporting documentation.
• Conduct quarterly client meetings to present recommendations and progress updates.
• Follow the client’s prescribed dress code and maintain professional standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Previous experience working in a startup environment is highly preferred.
