Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Production & Quality Control
- Supervise product quality for manufactured goods, including:
- Drinking water
- Spirits
- Ice products
- Inspect products before packaging and filling.
- Check the condition of bottles, bags, boxes, and cartons.
- Ensure products meet quality standards required by authorities such as:
- Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS)
- Government Chemist
- Review daily product quality reports.
Production & Sales Management
- Supervise achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production and sales targets.
- Maintain accurate production records.
- Verify product quantities dispatched to the market.
- Maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
- Monitor sales activities and verify sales accounts.
Staff Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise production and sales employees.
- Ensure employees perform duties efficiently and professionally.
- Provide recommendations to management regarding disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Lead and manage a team of employees effectively.
Factory Operations & Safety
- Ensure cleanliness of factory and office areas.
- Supervise daily cleaning activities before and after operations.
- Promote workplace safety by ensuring employees use:
- Safety equipment
- Protective gear
- Security systems such as cameras
Business Improvement
- Develop strategies to increase production and sales performance.
- Recommend methods to improve factory efficiency.
- Ensure availability of raw materials by coordinating timely purchases.
- Prevent production interruptions caused by shortages of materials.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Diploma or Degree in:
- Production Management
- Food Processing
- Business Administration
- Accounting
- Related business management fields
Experience:
- At least six (6) months of experience supervising production and sales in:
- Factories
- Manufacturing companies
- Similar environments
Additional requirements:
- Ability to develop strategies for increasing production and sales.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Experience supervising a team of at least five (5) employees.
