Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Monitoring and controlling the assigned Asset Finance Portfolio using company software.
- Proactively handling emergency recovery cases during assigned night shifts.
- Identifying overdue clients who have failed to comply with contractual payment schedules.
- Prioritizing collection assignments according to company collection policies.
- Recommending effective debt recovery and client management strategies.
- Using GPS tracking technology to locate financed assets (collateral).
- Conducting field visits and engaging clients to encourage payment compliance.
- Applying effective communication and negotiation techniques to recover outstanding debts.
- Repossessing collateral when all recovery efforts have been exhausted.
- Maintaining accurate records and providing daily recovery reports.
- Training and mentoring new employees, interns, and trainees.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Manager or Head of Department.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Management or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in recovery, collections, or debt management operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
- A valid motor vehicle driving license.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- High integrity and commitment to professional development.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- High attention to detail and adherence to internal controls.
Additional Requirements
Applicants should be able to:
- Work weekends when required.
- Work evening shifts when necessary.
- Ride a motorbike.
- Travel within assigned recovery areas.
- Handle field-based assignments professionally and safely.
