Job Purpose
The Social Media Manager will lead the end-to-end social media strategy for the Tanzania market.
The role is responsible for:
- Social media strategy development
- Content planning and execution

This is a senior strategic role that requires a strong understanding of digital culture, real-time engagement, audience behavior, and content performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Strategy
- Develop and continuously refine social media strategies.
- Manage the brand’s presence across:
- X (Twitter)
- TikTok
- YouTube
- Emerging digital platforms
- Define platform-specific approaches including:
- Content formats
- Posting frequency
- Audience targeting
- Brand tone of voice
- Promote a social-first marketing culture within the organization.
2. Content Planning & Management
Content Calendar Ownership
- Manage the full social media content calendar.
- Coordinate:
- Planned campaigns
- Seasonal content
- Real-time/reactive content
- Ensure content aligns with business and marketing objectives.
Content Strategy
Maintain a balance between:
- Planned content (50%)
- Reactive and trending content (50%)
to ensure the brand remains relevant and responsive.
3. Content Creation & Production
- Brief and oversee content production.
- Ensure quality control of all social media content.
- Collaborate with:
- Creative teams
- Agencies

- Production partners
Content Formats
Develop and manage:
- Short-form videos
- Graphics
- Carousels
- Stories
- User-Generated Content (UGC)

4. Community Management & Engagement
Audience Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with:
