Position Overview
Role Title
Solutions Architect – Data Center Solutions
Role Purpose
The Solutions Architect – Data Center Solutions is responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud and data center infrastructure solutions.
The role collaborates closely with customers and internal teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions across both cloud-based and on-premises environments.
The position supports:
- Presales engagements
- Technical consulting
- Solution design
- Solution implementation
- Service activation
to ensure:
- Delivery within SLA timelines
- Successful User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Billing readiness
- Revenue growth
- Enhanced customer experience
Key Responsibilities
Customer Requirements and Solution Design
- Lead customer requirement-gathering sessions.
- Analyze business and technical requirements.
- Design cloud and data center solutions aligned with customer needs.
- Recommend appropriate hosting and infrastructure architectures.
Data Center and Hosting Readiness
- Ensure data center environments remain ready for customer deployments.
- Maintain infrastructure capable of supporting customer equipment and solutions.
- Support colocation and hosting services.
Solution Implementation and Onboarding
- Lead installation and deployment of customer equipment.
- Coordinate implementation of customer solutions.
- Ensure seamless onboarding and transition to support teams.
- Monitor implementation activities to ensure quality delivery.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Training
- Ensure UAT activities are completed successfully.
- Obtain customer sign-off before service activation.
- Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for:
- Customer technical teams
- Vodafone sales teams
- Internal support teams
Innovation and Business Growth
- Identify emerging cloud and hosting technologies.
- Develop innovative hosting and cloud service offerings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to introduce new solutions.
- Support growth in:
- Colocation revenue
- Cloud services revenue
- Customer satisfaction
