Position Overview

Role Title

Solutions Architect – Data Center Solutions

Role Purpose

The Solutions Architect – Data Center Solutions is responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud and data center infrastructure solutions.

The role collaborates closely with customers and internal teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions across both cloud-based and on-premises environments.

The position supports:

  • Presales engagements
  • Technical consulting
  • Solution design
  • Solution implementation
  • Service activation

to ensure:

  • Delivery within SLA timelines
  • Successful User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Billing readiness
  • Revenue growth
  • Enhanced customer experience

Key Responsibilities

Customer Requirements and Solution Design

  • Lead customer requirement-gathering sessions.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements.
  • Design cloud and data center solutions aligned with customer needs.
  • Recommend appropriate hosting and infrastructure architectures.

Data Center and Hosting Readiness

  • Ensure data center environments remain ready for customer deployments.
  • Maintain infrastructure capable of supporting customer equipment and solutions.
  • Support colocation and hosting services.

Solution Implementation and Onboarding

  • Lead installation and deployment of customer equipment.
  • Coordinate implementation of customer solutions.
  • Ensure seamless onboarding and transition to support teams.
  • Monitor implementation activities to ensure quality delivery.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Training

  • Ensure UAT activities are completed successfully.
  • Obtain customer sign-off before service activation.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for:
    • Customer technical teams
    • Vodafone sales teams
    • Internal support teams

Innovation and Business Growth

  • Identify emerging cloud and hosting technologies.
  • Develop innovative hosting and cloud service offerings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to introduce new solutions.
  • Support growth in:
    • Colocation revenue
    • Cloud services revenue
    • Customer satisfaction
